In the battery case located behind the battery there are slots for a Micro SD-card and for a SIM card (only devices with integrated GPRS modem).

Devices without laser scanner or imager do not use the Micro SD-card slot in the battery compartment. Alternatively, you can find an SDIO slot at the top of the device.
